Margarita Amvrosiou

Psychodynamic Counsellor MBACP

Welcome…

You may be seeking therapy because you are experiencing difficult feelings and emotions such as stress, anxiety, anger or low self-esteem. Our work together will be confidential and is a way of giving yourself time to reflect, process and make positive changes in your life.

I believe that psychological well-being is important for people in order that they can lead full, satisfying and creative lives. In this way I support clients to develop clarity and insight into their difficulties, whilst enabling them to have the skills to deal more effectively with the challenges they are facing.

Working with me…

I am a qualified practitioner with a broad range of experience, working in private practice. I offer once weekly individual Psychodynamic Counselling for adults which can be open-ended, long-term work or I offer short term, time limited sessions. I provide a warm, non-judgemental and confidential therapeutic environment for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings and everyday challenges.

I work in an empathic, relational way and provide a safe space for the exploration of thoughts and feelings in order to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust and security. Together we can make links to your past experiences with the aim to make the unconscious more conscious, leading to more self-awareness and ultimately to significant changes enabling you to live a more fulfilled and satisfied life.

The values of my practice are founded on the principles of respect, inclusiveness and providing appropriate support, tailored to the individuals needs and I achieve this through integrating practical and theoretical approaches.

My fees are £70 for 50 minute session.
