Jo Carlowe
Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor MA Adv Dip, MBACP, UKCP.
Welcome…
I’m Jo, an integrative psychotherapist, which means I support you using a blend of modern therapeutic and more traditional approaches.
Qualifications: MA in Psychotherapy, Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, and BA (Hons) in Psychology. I’m also trained in the Rewind Technique, an effective treatment for trauma. I’m registered with the BACP and UKCP and abide by their ethics.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist for national media covering psychology, and as a podcast host for a mental health charity.
Working with me…
People see me for many reasons. Sometimes it’s to tackle a specific problem, to break old habits, or to feel less overwhelmed in the face of challenges, uncertainty, or change.
I work with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, existential worries, grief & loss, life transitions & choices, self-esteem issues, separation & divorce, trauma & abuse, and work stresses.
While we’ll focus on issues in your life now, we may also explore how your childhood and past experiences are shaping your present.
As my approach is integrative, I draw on many therapeutic styles, including psychodynamic, existential, relational, and humanistic/person-centred therapy.
Sessions are weekly, confidential and non-judgemental. Adults of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, sexuality and gender identities are welcome.
You can find more details on my website or email me to arrange an initial consultation to see if I feel like the right fit for you. Sessions are available in person or online.
Ongoing sessions from £85. Initial session discounted at £65.
