Donna Raphael

Integrative Counsellor MBACP

Welcome…

I’m an integrative psychotherapist, and I work with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure at first. Therapy can be a place of warmth, curiosity, relief, and sometimes even humor. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences, feel more able to cope, and start noticing new possibilities for yourself.

Working with me…

I use a mix of approaches depending on what feels most useful for you. My work draws from humanistic, psychodynamic, and relational ideas — but what really matters is the relationship we build together. I aim to offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and be met with understanding, without judgement. When relevant we might also explore your dreams, as they can offer a rich and creative way of understanding your inner world.

Therapy is a collaborative process. At times, I might gently challenge you, but always with compassion and at a pace that feels right for you. While we can’t change the past, therapy can help you make sense of it, see things from a new perspective, and find different ways to move forward. Together we will explore what feels stuck and support you in making changes that feel authentic and sustainable.

If you’d like to arrange an initial consultation or just have a chat about how I work, you’re very welcome to send me an email. I’m happy to answer any questions to help you get a feel for whether therapy might be right for you. Please get in touch to find out about fees or check out my website.
