Clare Goodridge

Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor MBACP (Accred)

Welcome…

My background is in the arts, equality, diversity and inclusion; they are values that I have carried into my counselling practice.

My training is as an Integrative Therapist, meaning (in short) that the theory is psychodynamic, reflective and analytical but the practice is humanistic.  I am accredited by the BACP and registered with BUPA. I am also a qualified mediator.

Working with me…

Are you looking for a safe place and someone to listen and to really hear you, without judgement or any personal agenda?

My focus is on you, your needs, what bothers and concerns you; whether those are pressing issues in the here and now and or long term/deep seated concerns that still, somehow, influence your experience today.

I will not scrutinise or advise; my purpose is to understand the world as you experience it and to accompany you on your journey towards a greater sense of wellbeing.

My approach is 'Integrative', which means that I bring together a range of ways of working; reflecting on the past, feeling around the present and exploring how things might be different in the future.

For the experience to be effective, it is important that we establish a sound relationship; your best interests are naturally at the heart of such a relationship and confidentiality is assured.

I work with children and adults in person, at Hanley Road, or online. I offer a reduced fee introductory (no obligation) session to establish whether or how we might most effectively work together.

I have a particular interest and experience in…
