Benet Catty

Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor MA Adv.Dip, MBACP, UKCP

Welcome…

Therapy is a place to hear yourself, understand yourself, be yourself.... and change. That's where I come in.

I offer you a space to work out what’s going on for you and what you want to do about it.

Working with me…

I have conducted over 6,000 sessions of therapy, variously in private practice, at a low cost therapy service, a university, and for a counselling service which I founded and ran for Masters students at a major drama school. Previously I was a theatre director and writer for 18 years.

I trained at the Minster Centre, one of Europe's leading training centres for integrative psychotherapy, from which I earned a diploma and a Masters.

As an integrative therapist I seek to gently and supportively bring your mind, body, emotions and behaviour into a more cohesive and supportive relationship with each other to better pursue the life you seek for yourself. This can sometimes include working relationally: noticing how the way we work together might parallel or contrast with relationships you have in other contexts.

Fees £85 (first session £65).

Recognised by Aviva, AXA and Vitality. Sessions in person and/or online.

Areas of work that I cover…

I have worked with clients on a wide range of different challenges, particularly including:

  • Abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)

  • Childhood (abuse, bullying, discipline)

  • Dissociation ('forgotten' experiences, regulation, trauma)

  • Relationships (family, friends. romantic)

  • Sex/sexuality (dysfunction, coming out, kink)

  • Trauma (emotional, PTSD, sexual).

A comprehensive list of specialisms and areas in which I have received specialist training can be found on my website.
