Welcome…
Hello, I’m Aisling.
I’m a qualified Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist (British Psychoanalytic Council-accredited MBT Practitioner), and Social Worker, with over 10 years of experience in mental health.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences, deepen your understanding of yourself, and work towards meaningful change that aligns with your therapy goals..
Working with me…
I specialise in supporting people who have experienced difficulties, trauma or harm within relationships, including early or parental relationships. I support with how these experiences can affect mood, self-esteem, sense of self, attachment and current relationships.
I also have experience and interest in supporting people who are adjusting to new health conditions or coping with long-term health conditions. I have experience working with a range of other experiences, please see below.
My practice is affirming of neurodiversity, gender diversity and sexuality. I welcome enquiries about a wide range of experiences, not just those described above.
My work is informed by evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including attachment-based and relational models, Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), systemic and psychodynamic approaches. I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing on what feels most helpful for you.
I offer therapy to young people (16-25), adults and couples.
I completely understand the importance of having a 'good fit' with your therapist. Please get in touch if you wish to speak for an initial free 15min consultation or to ask any questions you may have.
I currently have availability on Friday mornings, but please get in touch about availability at other times.
